A second draw was held targeting candidates under
 

  • NOC 0621 (retail and wholesale trade managers) 
  • NOC 0631 (restaurant and foodservice managers).


This draw invited 51 candidates with a minimum score of 103. 

 

In 2021, the province has issued over 11,000 invitations through its BC PNP programs.

BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)

The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is an economic immigration program that nominates people for permanent residence in British Columbia. The program is designed to attract skilled workers to fill job shortages or planning to buy or start a business in British Columbia. The final approval for permanent residency application comes from the Government of Canada. 

 

BC PNP Pathways

 

The BC PNP has three types of pathways to become a permanent resident in B.C. Each pathway contains different categories you can apply under, depending on your National Occupational Classification skill level, job, or international student status.

 

Skills Immigration

 

Skills Immigration pathway is for skilled and in high-demand workers. It uses a points-based invitation system. Under this pathway, you may or may not require work experience and depending on the job being offered.

Express Entry BC

 

Express Entry BC is a quick route for skilled workers to immigrate to British Columbia. A requirement is you must also qualify for a federal economic immigration program. If nominated by BC for Express Entry, you are allocated 600 points to your express entry profile.

Entrepreneur Immigration

 

The Entrepreneur Immigration stream is for experienced entrepreneurs who want to actively manage a business in B.C. To qualify, you must have the required personal and investment funds. There is also an option for companies who wish to expand into B.C but need to get permanent residency for employees.
